New Website & New Beginnings

posted on June 4, 2013

Well folks, the time has come for me to start a new adventure in my life! I’m going to have a weekly blog! I’ll try and keep it as authentic and as real as possible. I’ll primarily update you on things with Southern Fried, the occasional insight to how my life is running and I plan to share with you my weekly music favorites. Since, this post is officially my first blog post I want to introduce you to Southern Fried Design Barn

A lot has happened over the last few years and my little dream of having a stationery business has completely blossomed! I have just launched a brand new website that I’m SO happy with! I worked closely with the talented web designer and coder, Tara Jo Kirk on this project, so any (virtual) high fives should be sent her way. Please, take a look around.

Just recently, I exhibited at the National Stationery Show in New York City, and just last week I had a REALLY awesome opportunity land in my lap. I’ll share more on these later this week.

Lastly, I wanted to take a quick minute to acknowledge and thank some folks who have helped me to this point in my career. I have to give a big shout out to the two most supportive, loving and dedicated parents of all time. They seriously deserve a huge pat on the back. I couldn’t thank them for everything, it’s way too long to list. My sister, Jenny, who is continuously sending me emails with inspiration and without too much grumble is donating her two working hands for whatever project I need assistance with. My dear friend, Tiffany. Words can not describe the support she has given me over the years! The list of folks who have been my cheerleaders is really quite long. Soon, I’ll share a big ole’ thanks post and list everyone. I believe it’s important to surround yourself with people who will support you and give you that continued strength that sometimes you have drained out of. I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without all of their love and support. Most of all, the biggest thanks goes to the main upstairs, the Good Lord. None of this would have been possible without him. None of it. He has turned my smallest little prayer into something I never dreamed of and I truly believe this is only the beginning of it.

So, I hope you’ll come back and follow me along on this new adventure of mine with my blog and with Southern Fried. You can follow along here on the blog or feel free to sign up for the official Southern Fried Design Barn newsletter here.

That’s it folks, have a good night.

Amy
