We are headed to Brooklyn folks! Early last fall, I got a call from ABC’s The Chew, Carla Hall and her team saying they had seen my Southern Sayings card collection inside Batch at the Nashville Farmers Market and instantly loved them. Loved them so much, they wanted to collaborate and create table number cards for Carla Hall’s brand new Nashville-inspired Brooklyn restaurant, Carla Hall’s Southern Kitchen.
A little back story on the talented Carla Hall incase you haven’t been introduced. Hall was a finalist in the 5th and 8th seasons of Top Chef and is a co-host on ABC’s The Chew, a talk show centered around food. Hall’s personality is super funny and quick witted. I challenge you to try and not chuckle when you watch her. Oh and let’s not forget her style – love those glasses!
She is now opening up her own restaurant in the heart of Brooklyn, New York and it’s completely focused on southern food, Nashville and hot chicken!
I am thrilled Hall and her team chose Southern Fried to help bring a little southern and Nashville flair to Brooklyn and to know that Southern Fried’s designs (and photography!) will be sitting on every table in the restaurant.
Not only will you be able to view our designs on the place cards and framed prints throughout the building, but you’ll be able to buy the exact designs as a greeting card in their gift shop, alongside a handful of our other paper products.
Carla Hall’s Southern Kitchen is having a soft opening this Memorial Day weekend with a grand opening scheduled for June 17th. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop in and tell ‘em I sent ya!
Have a great Memorial Day weekend everyone!
